Leading Malta-based online gaming operator Expekt.com has announced that its Chief Executive Officer, Per Widerstrom, has left the company with immediate effect along with Chief Financial Officer Joe Sanchez.

In a statement released late last week, Expekt.com revealed that both departures were due to ‘different strategic views in how to move Expekt.com forward’.

“We thank them for the work and commitment they have shown and wish them success in their future endeavours,” said Isabelle Parize, Chief Executive Officer for parent firm Mangas Gaming Malta Limited.

As a result, Expekt.com revealed that Nicolas Beraud would take over as its Interim Chief Executive Officer in addition to fulfilling his current responsibilities as Chief Operating Officer for Mangas. Furthermore, the current Chief Operating Officer for leading sportsbook BetClic.com, Thomas Winter, will serve as Interim Chief Operating Officer for Expekt.com and report directly to Beraud.

In replacing Sanchez, Expekt.com stated that Maarten Vanhecke would serve as its Interim Chief Financial Officer. It revealed that he is a senior professional with wide experience in structuring organisations.

In addition, Expekt.com announced the appointment of Tarquin Henderson, Chief Marketing Officer for Mangas, as its Acting Chief Marketing Officer while Lisa Lombardi will work as its Legal And Regulatory Manager.

Finally, Expekt.com revealed that Dinos Stranomitis has been appointed as its Sportsbook Trading Manager while Michael Mifsud is to work as its Human Resources Manager reporting to Winter.
