braves.jpg Pittsburgh Pirates - Atlanta Braves

I know that nowadays Pirates are red hot, with really good form, but it's quite strange seeing them with wins day after day, so I doubt such great streak can be longer than now because five wins in a row is really too much for such poor team. At the moment they have (17-19) balance but in overal look, they're one of the weakest teams in whole league and even at home they shouldn't be favorite against such rivals. Braves are solid and one class above Pittsburgh, that's a fact, so now with (18-17) balance they need wins having strong division with few good teams. They lost both matches so far and I'm sure they'll try to do everything to avoid a sweep, especially against Pirates, which could be a shame for them. Before this two losses they had six wins in a row, so I can say they're in solid form. Also I think that Jair Jurrjens (2.84 ERA) is better pitcher at the moment than Zach Duke (4.60 ERA), who is inconsistent player. Jurrjens won last three games in a row and I have a faith it'll be another one for his nice record. Of course @ 1.76 odd isn't looking great against red hot Pirates, for team on road, but for me it's quite good price in here.

Minnesota Twins - Boston Red Sox

Yesterday I've won nice cash with Red Sox, so today I'll try to do it another one time, because I see them as big favorites in here. Twins are mediocre team, even if their (18-17) balance looks really solid. They're too poor in offense and they can't score against such classy opponents, which is the biggest problem for them in such games. Of course they're well known of their good defense, but it won't be important in here. Guests offense is just amazing, they're overal great team with (24-15) balance and I'm sure they'll win this game, even on road. Also Tim Wakefield (3.33 ERA) looks good nowadays and I rate him better than unstable Nick Blackburn (3.65 ERA), who against such strong team couldn't be the best choice. Odds have already dropped in here, but still @ 1.88 at 5Dimes is quite nice price.

Washington Nationals - Florida Marlins

I don't like to bet on underdogs in MLB, but this one really deserved to be in my selection. Nationals are rather poor this year, having (15-21) balance and I really doubt they could be a favorites in such games, against solid teams. They lost last two games against Florida without any chances to win (yesterday 0-11) and I don't know why should they be better today, especially that Shawn Hill (3.86 ERA) is rather average pitcher, who can't be a problem for guests batters. On the other hand Marlins are good this season with (22-14) balance, they have now six wins in a row, so I can say they're in excellent form. Also starting pitcher Scott Olsen (2.22 ERA) looks quite good in here, so Marlins must be my choice, especially with juicy @ 2.14 at Pinnacle.

Milwaukee Brewers - St. Louis Cardinals

Cardinals were my nightmare so far because all the time, when I've backed them lately, they've lost their matches, but today I really hope it'll be different and they'll bring me some cash. Brewers are of course really good, with nice team and solid players, having (17-19) balance, but I think they aren't in best shape now and it's time when opponents could win with them without bigger problems. Milwaukee lost last six out of seven games and especially thir offensive stuff were really disappointing. Cardinals are big revelation this year with (23-15) and I'm really delighted about theit baseball, it's one of the best in whole league without a doubt. Maybe they're in small downtrend, but I doubt they ought to be underdogs in here. I know Jeff Suppan (5.22 ERA) is in theory great pitcher, but so far this year he wasn't best and Braden Looper (3.95 ERA) is more consistent these days.

Detroit Tigers - New York Yankees

It's my last bet today and I hope that as big card will be successful for me. This game is between two classy teams and I can say this is the best match to watch today because both teams have classy players. Unfortunately in my view it won't be a spectacular meeting with many runs as pitchers should be main actors in here. Tigers had some problems with offense, but now it looks much better, even tough I think today it'll be their problem another one time because Andy Petitte (3.77 ERA) should strike them all the time. Of course Yankees have few solid batters and they could explode everytime, but I won't underrate Nate Robinson (6.44 ERA), who can have good game in here, even if their stats aren't the best. I think that @ 1.85 for under 10 runs is really good price because it shouldn't be highscoring game.
