I've been on the right side with the final winners for more than 7 years. I knew Porto's gonna lift the Champions League trophy, that
Greece will win the Euros, and that Italy are going to be world champions. And the row can continue with many other similar cases, I've got a special feeling you can say.
But if you expect me to have a punt here it's not the case. Exepting the fact I've got 7.50 in Autumn for United to be champions of Europe, which was rather a personal ambition than an official
bet, I have no other punt for tonight. I'm not the biggest fan of the long term bets but I had to spend somehow the free bet I'd got.
From a betting point of view I'll have no official bet like I said. But being a fan since the Red Devils came back from 0-1 and beat Bayern Munich with only a few minutes till the final
whistle, I'm gonna aloudly say United are the 2008 Champions League winners. You can believe me or not, but it's not so wise to face me out.
Leaving the jokes aside let's come with some reasoning as far as our final goes. In case you haven't noticed yet we've got two English teams into the final. Coincidence? Nothing of the kind in
my view. EPL has obviously become the strongest league in Europe, and even in the world. It's a fact the Englismen can't get eleven players working as a team when it comes to their national
team, but as far as their clubs are concerned they are a step above the other major leagues I can say. The Mafia scandal has ravaged the Italian football lately, the Spaniards lack discipline
and money, and the Germans should realize that a great football team starts with a good defence. The French championship and other counterfeits of the football game are way too far away to be
discussed anyway. It's a fact the Englishmen have the best groundwork, and really look like being intersted in what they do. I don't mean the big boys only. Exepting relegated Derby that were a
special case of the modern football, even the last placed team can play on the same foot with a first placed. This is called modern football, efficaciousness, money wisely invested in one word.
Don't get me wrong now. The Englishmen are far from being the most talented football players in the world. Not sure if you've noticed but you'll hardly find many English players in Europe. They
don't get assigned because they are expensive and don't worth. On the contrary, the best football players have a special tendency to come in Island, it's happening because the money talk. Have
you ever wondered what would United do without C.Ronaldo, Van der Sar, Vidic, Evra, Nani or Tevez? Or even better, what would Grant do if Cech, Gallas, Ballack, Drogba, Ferreira, Carvalho,
Essien, Makelele, Anelka and Alex were out?
The modern football is a business. And thanks God the Englishmen have won the battle and managed to grab what's best in Island making EPL a clean and very attractive league. Don't call me
Teddie if we don't see another English side into the final next year. It's going to be even better according to my estimations, even more team are gonna get rich sponsors, buy expensive
players, get a professional coach and make perfomance in Europe. When we talk about Champions League we think about Chelsea, Arsenal, Man.Utd. and Liverpool, but in fact the road to glory
starts with competition. When you run like hell to beat Wigan lets' say, or when Birmingham comes on your ground and makes you play football or you lose the game, you get trained. Round by
round. It's tough every week no matter the opponents you get, and in the end the team gets what's needed to be ready to play in Europe. What they do in Italy is a joke. More or less can be said
about Spain. Although there have been surprises in plenty this season you'll hardly see many teams being extremely motivated and die on the pitch in order to get a result against a top rated
club. Less money among the poor teams, and less motivation as a consequence.
Talking about our final I'm body and soul for United to win the title, and from a fan point of view I've got to give them credit. They've been outstanding this year, it's probably the best ever
season they got since their second European title was won (1999), and have shown more steadiness all the season long. Chelsea have got some form lately, Grant is not so bad as I thought after
all, but talking about the picture of an entire season it's United's turn. Although the Chelsea players think they have more motivation on their side as they are yet to even play a final, I
think this can be maybe the last chance for players like Giggs or Scholes to win something, and these two are living legends at Old Trafford. It's uselees though to talk about motivation when
we have a Champions League trophy to be won, but the Red Devils got more class either. The Blues could have easily stayed home so far hadn't Riise scored an owngoal in the last seconds of the
game, Alex Fergusson's men instead have more easily got through, and judging them according to their perfomace from this season they should prevail.
It's going to be a very interesting match to watch. Whether you have some money involved, Chelsea/United fan, or simply football amateur, we all have something to cheer up for. That's all from
me fellows, wish you all the best and may United lift the trophy tonight.

And if you can't make the difference between a pick and a simple fan opinion is your *** problem. WE ARE CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PS: I'm still drunk, btw.

So let me get this right, you CAN'T HAVE A WINNING SEASON (you said by yourself you started seriously betting since 2006 and since then it has been a DISASTER and it is all DOCUMENTED here and on blogabet) but you could say that Greece would have become european champions.. My God you are the perfect tout!!

4. Written by whatever, on 21-05-2008 11:39 that's fine. But concentrate on the game at hand, for god's sake. What does your rating of Englishmen have to do with anything?

5. Written by Teddie21, on 21-05-2008 11:32 That's not a pick mate, I play a simple columnist's role this time. And talking about betting I see no value here, think odds are perfectly fair, but from a fan point of view I see United winners simple as that.

6. Written by whatever, on 21-05-2008 11:28 urmm.. so basically a big rant about how united are going to win with no reasoning as to why they will actually win. Care to analyze what you said you were going to analyze, mate? You just wasted a few minutes of my time there.
