Money Some people and companies are stubborn. For example, Polaroid's instant camera instantly became obsolete when digital cameras were introduced. The senior management didn't see that one coming, although the entire world did. And Polaroid went bankrupt. Truth is, progress can make you obsolete in a single day unless you're prepared and you're trying hard to anticipate future events. Fortunately for us, progress can make you a leader of the pack in one day also, if you're in a right place at the right time. The online betting industry is expanding, and in a recent article in Croatian daily newspaper, tipsters were labeled as one of the "jobs of the future". Take note, that article was published in a country where the majority of the people bets at local bookies (they're making 500 million euros yearly profit) and no one even knows what a tipster is. Or, to tell you the truth, everyone is a "tipster" here. They're studying statistics and odds like they'll get a Ph.D. for their efforts, they put a minimum of 10 games on one ticket, and they still didn't evolve enough for this thought to enter their stubborn brains: "hey, maybe there's betting info on the internet!" although they do have a computer at home, and the computer is connected to the internet. Sometimes it's hard to put 2 and 2 together.

Obviously, within a few years, local bookies will have to lock their offices and throw the key away. I, of course, won't tell you the secret of what has to be done to earn money from that, if you're smart you'll figure something out on your own, but I can tell you the future is bright for everyone involved in betting business. I have worked for a respectable online bookie for several years, gaining experience, and I've learned that this line of work can handle many different ideas and the cake is so big that everyone can have a bite. So far, people involved in online betting business are regarded as pathetic unemployed people who are trying to pay their bills (even if they're top notch tipsters), but the time will come when tipsters will be at the very top of the ladder by default, together with businessmen, possibly even lawyers or doctors. Even a bad doctor is still a "doctor". Everyone will need a tipster, same as they now need a doctor, a dentist, and a lawyer. Shady business will become white collar business soon enough, when the general public gets educated in these matters. We will no longer be amateurs and enthusiasts but valued members of the society. And no one will know how to reach our position, same as no one knows how to become a James Bond.

In this line of work we don't have universities, seminars and job education. That means we have to figure everything out on our own, as this road hasn't been traveled yet. Only a few people know the entire theory and math of betting, myself included, and that's why I'm writing a big book about betting, so that more and more people can know what this world is about. I believe it will be beneficial for our mutual goal, and that is to profit from betting and to know enough about betting to enter the business and profit from it. Expansion of this world will do us all good. We need to get rid of the criminals within our business and the aura of "fixed matches" which glows around the betting world, and we can do that only by spreading knowledge about the real thing. For example, fixed matches became less common when the first online bookie was launched and betting was taken away from dark alleys and brought into the mainstream. The way I see it, pretty soon the people who don't want to read and learn will not be able to profit from betting, as it will be a known fact this is a line of work in which you need a brain and some solid knowledge in it. Only then we'll understand that now we're attempting to make a profit with an amateur approach to a very serious thing. It's the same if you attempt to build a house without studying architecture. Sure, it may seem easy, you just put bricks together, but there's a reason why architecture exists. And there's a reason why certain houses become worthless after a couple of years.

This situation is good for us. It means the betting business will be whatever we make it, we have the freedom to start a new idea, a new approach, and a new money-making project. In most cases, it has something to do with websites. Pretty soon you won't be able to see amateurish websites dedicated to betting, the professional ones will take over, and I'd even bet that sooner or later some corporation will make a big betting website and invest a lot of money in it. Webmasters beware, this day is coming. But the truth is, the more effort you put into this business, the more you'll be rewarded. It's the right time to dedicate a whole working day to any project you may have.

So, all of us are already ahead of schedule, and we only need to pay attention for the young lions who will want to take our place. That's why it's important to gain more and more experience, and to learn as much about betting as a human being possibly can. Read everything, question everything. In this line of work we don't have universities, seminars, and job titles. We have to learn everything on our own, and make sure that when the big day comes, we're at the pole position. The gates of tomorrow are wide open for anyone who wants to participate in this rat race. Let the race begin!

Yes I got Dan perfectly, he meant a site like BB or any other who might monopolise the market one day, and the small services would be put in some sort of danger up to a certain extent. But like I said it looks a bit unrealistic to me, and you have my reasons written below.
The reason why BB exists is because we always wanted something new, something you won't find everywhere, involving steadiness and trust, and survive over the course of the years of course. People change, but the goal remains the same.
We're far from being perfect, we all make mistakes and have our weak points, but if we try hard and really want I think we can improve day by day, and achieve something really nice in time.
Thanks for the kind words btw.

I agree with your perspective, Teddie. In my view you, and the guys like you, can consider yourselves as "betting consultants". As the vast majority of people who tries experience, it's not easy to generate a positive ROI. On the contrary. The normal guy can only dream of performing like you guys are doing. So naturally it deserves recognition. I'm not just writing it to flatter you, I'm just stating the fact.

The are many otherwise extremely intelligent people with master degrees and so on, who can't come out on the winning side (long run) even if they put all thier effort in to it and their lives dependeded on it.

I don't think that Dan means a bookie: I rather think that with "betting website" he means a site similar to brainbetting and others.

Impressive article indeed, what I seem to disagree is that some large company might get the market, that looks a bit impossible in my view because of bookies limits, when 1000 people take the same bet at the same time becomes a problem, and it's hard to imagine they'd all get the same odds. But agree generally, we the betting involved people should get the same treatment as any other guy who thinks he's smart, you can calll it "betting consulting" if you want, but a certain work is done, so I think the poeple should consider that.

Oh yes. I really like your way of thinking and writing for that matter. And not least your perspective on betting.

The betting industry is indeed a sweet spot if you have the knowledge to be one af the "James Bond's" of the betting world. In practice, it's the application of money management which in the long run decides if you make or breake it. It's not nearly enough to generate a positive ROI, while it's obviously also a precondition.
