Anthony Kim Anthony Kim has been something of a revelation this year on the US tour. The 23 year old is having only his 2nd full season on tour and he has a maiden win under his belt already this year, when taking the Wachovia championship back in May. After that tremendous effort it was no surprise to see him perform rather tamely at the TPC the following week, and I beleive he was still feeling the effects when he was only T40th at the Crowne a fortnight later, He had a much better showing in his first US open and finished a creditable 26th, and has not played since. He has amassed enough Fedex points to warrant a place in the end of season money spinning bash, and is surely going to be in his first of many Ryder Cup squads. There isn't too much course form to go on this wee kas it's only the second time the championship has been played here, but I like Kim an awful lot and expect him to play very well this week.

Ben Crane has also had a good solid year with 3 top tens including a brilliant 6th in the TPC, but I think he has peaked now for the season as 2 very average performances in his last 2 outings have shown. I don't think he will be a match for the exciting youngster and I think he will struggle to overcome Kim, who at even money is a good solid bet.

Pick : Anthony Kim to beat Ben Crane over 72 holes in AT & T National
 Odds : 2.00

Pat Perez has missed 3 cuts all year and is on course for his best ever season on tour. Top tens in the Sony, Crowne and Houston open have ensured that the 32 year old from Phoenix is moving forward in his career and syrely not far away from his first career victory. He like a few others has had a break from the game since the gruelling US open where he finished 36th, but his form before that reads very consistently 12,42,6,26, and a replica of 3 of those outings I htink will be good enough to see Villegas off on scratch let alone with the 1 shot advantage that VC are giving us. The other massive benefit we have is that he was 3rd in tis tournament last year in it's innaugural runnig.

Camillo Villegas is an incredibly exciting young golfer. The 26 year old columbian has a game which is quite reminiscent of a young Gary Player, and he has a flair about him which makes him very good to watch. He has had a similar year to Perez with 3 top tens and only 2 missed cuts, and you could argue that his recent form is slightly better than Perez's, but he missed the cut here last year and could well have a head thing going on about the course as pro's always have a positive and negative affinity with certain courses.

I'm happy to back decent recent form and great course form against decent recent form and bad course form, and with a shot as well, i think we will coillect on this one.

Pick : Pat Perez (+1) to beat Camillo Villegas (-1) over 72 holes in AT & T National
 Odds : 1.91

Aussie Pampling has 2 ways of playing, very well, or missing cuts !!!

His recent form if you take out the missed cuts reads 17,14,20,2,8,23,8. That is top ten in the world form.....however, those finishes are interspersed with 6 missed cuts !! What I like about him though is he was a good 14th in the US open, and was T19th here last year with a final round of +2. He obviously likes the place and I reckon he will have one of his "going" weeks this week on a course with a positive psychological factor for him.

Jim Furyk is an increasingly frustrating golfer to follow, and back. He has had his usual ultra consistent season, but for a top 10 golfer in the world he has yet to win this season. Recent efforts have also seen him struggle with the flat stick and fade away badly over the weekend. his recent run of form reads 36,36,39,MC so he is hardly setting the world on fire, and with him giving Rod 2 hots in this handicap bet, I really reckon we're onto a good thing here.

Pick : Rod Pampling (+2 ) to beat Jim Furyk (-2) over 72 holes in AT&T National
 Odds : 1.91
 Stake : 8 / 10
