First of all this
bet is mostly becouse in my opinion such high odds for 5 ranked player in WTA against 7 ranked is definitely is too high. This is Grand Slam semi-final and fact that Venus is defending last
year tittle and on statistics she looks much better don't convince me to put older Williams sister as a ultra favourite. Dementieva is Dementieva, a world class player, even with all her
strange behaviours on court. Venus had much easier opponents than Elena and as I saw her I think she isn't in such perfect shape like she was year ago. Still good but this is not what I was
expecting from her as a title defender. In Roland Garros against Penneta she was also hige favourite, bookies didn't take under consideration that Flavia is clay expert and that Venus is not
her best on this surface. I know that now she is playing on her best, fast, grass but still Dementieva also knows what's going on here. She is top5 player in the world and this is something
that odds should be lower. Venus defeated Cavaday, Keothavong, Martinez, Kleybanova and Tanasugarn. Only Tamarine seems to be any threat. Well she had 10 break point chances but used only...
one. I think Dementieva will use more. Venus is hiting powerful but still I don't see that power in her game. Today will be first hard match for her in this tour and I wonder how she will
handle it. Dementieva already eliminated such names like Dulko, Peer, Petrova. Much more class player. Especially Petrova was impressing with her game. The main weakness of Elena is focusing
and 2'nd serve. When she is losing concious, she is losing serve and she is losing her serve. She should finish Petrova 6:1, 6:1, but she started to think too much. I wonder if she will handle
the pressure. In French Open Safina took her chance, will she give another one to older Williams sister? Hard match. Low stakes. Odds for Dementieva too high.
Pick: Elena Dementieva to win at 4.80 with BetFair: 3/10
