Champions League It's always hard to bet on obscure teams coming from weak leagues, yet I think I know something about and I'd like to deliver.

Valletta v Artmedia Petrzalka

I've watched personally live on stadium the Slovakian team, it's been happening last year in summer when they'd faced Moldavian Zimbru. 2-2 in Bratislava, 1-1 in Chisinau, Artmedia went through. Exepting the fact they didn't deserve it, I've also noticed the fact they're weak on the road. Playing some defensive-minded football based on counter-attacks and I wonder if that's going to work against another defensive-minded side like Valletta. We all know Malta and the way they play. No class, no technical skills, but they may surprise once in a while due to their closed play and the fact their opponents are somehow "tempted" to underrate them. And when we say Valletta, we say Malta because most of Valletta's players are also Malta's national team players. Artmedia are surely a class above but they suffer on the road and their defensive tactic shouldn't allow them to win by more than 2. I've also found they'll miss several regulars, it has to be a wise bet.

Santa Coloma v Kaunas

Teams from Andorra are known as one of the weakest in Europe, and we can't deny it. From another point of view Lithuanian football is of a low level itself so I'm wondering if Kaunas really deserve this handy. Santa Coloma beat Maccabi Tel Aviv 1-0 last year at home which proves somehow the football is getting closer these days and ain't that easy to thrash that sort of teams like it's been happening 4-5 years ago lets say. Kaunas have never been great on the road in Europe, although they lead their local league, their 2-4-1 is less impressive and confirms my statement. The Lithuanians are favourites no doubt about that, but I'm sure it's not going to be as easy as this handicap suggests. Ex-USSR teams always have problems against lower-rated sides, they're used to defend so when they face a team like Santa Coloma it's usually hard for them to adjust their style and do the job.
