Dinamo had an easy job in the first leg and won 2:0 in Belfast, and you are probably wondering what kind of
approach will Dinamo take for this match. Well, Dinamo is known to be a "champion of friendly matches", once they've even beaten Real Madrid (long time ago) in a friendly. The reason is simple.
Dinamo plays best when there's no pressure. And, this is a perfect opportunity to show off for the fans. So, Dinamo will want to win big.
I don't know what will Linfield do. Will they be defensive or offensive, but whatever they choose they probably won't pass the half line more than 4-5 times. And things might even look worse
for them after they concede the first goal.
The only things worrying me are the defensive abilities of the new left wingback Ibanez, and all abilities of the new/old goalie Butina, who is very insecure after not playing a serious match
for years. Linfield might even score if they attack through the right side and cross the ball into the penalty box. But let's just hope that won't happen, as the chances are pretty slim,
actually.
Dinamo's playing style is traditionally focused on short passes and creative combinations. Unless the opponent plays some serious pressing, or is organized like the teams from the top European
leagues are, you don't stand a chance against Dinamo. The score of this match will probably go beyond the 3-goal margin, although many players are already thinking about Sunday's match against
Rijeka (yes, we'll bet on that one too). I've seen a lot of matches like this one, and all of them end with a big Dinamo win. Dinamo CAN be surprised by a small team, Dinamo does have
weaknesses, but this match just doesn't smell like a surprise.
It's a known fact that creative players play best in the evening, whereas the working teams do best in the afternoon. Creative players also have an edge in lower, more pleasant air
temperatures, while workers will have the edge in thin air and hot weather. This match is played in the evening, rain is expected, temperature will be pretty low for this time of year. The
pitch on Maksimir stadium has excellent draining abilities, so there's no chance of the pitch becoming water logged. It will just be a bit wet, fast, and that suits Dinamo also. Even if the
rain will be heavy, put yourself in Linfield goalkeeper's shoes and see why I have no worries.
This type of bets takes a lot of nerves, when you're wondering why 20 minutes have passed and the score is still 0:0. But have no worries, the odds on more goals in the 2nd half for this match
are 1.55. We'll take the most reasonable bet, with nice odds and good stake.
Kick off time: 20:45 CET, Maksimir stadium, Zagreb, expected attendance 10.000, rain showers expected in the afternoon, temperature 16 °C.
Dinamo (-2.5), 2.04, 6/10, 10Bet
Don't miss my Croatian league preview, which will come up before Sunday in the Opinion section of BB. We'll have some good bets, too.
