peterijeh.jpgViking – FC Honka (Thu 28 Aug 18:30)

Viking did their job in Finland when the 1st leg ended 0-0, and has now a great opportunity to qualify. They just need a victory, and with the Stavanger crowd in the back I think they will manage to do it. In Tippeligaen they have been disappointing this season, and with 4-2-3 at home they are placed as #8. They still struggling with producing goals, and previous weekend the match home against Lillestrom ended with a boring 0-0 draw. Steenslid and Perreira still injured. Honka on the other hand has with 7-2-0 on the last 9 matches joined the fight for the trophy home in Finland. Haka was defeated away in the weekend. Striker Vourinen is doubtful. As Viking – Honka has been a typical “under-team” this season. 7/11 unders in Tippeligaen for Viking, who has 5 straight unders.

Rosenborg – Djurgardens IF (Thu 28 Aug 19:00)

Rosenborg was best in the first leg, but big mistakes in the defence resulted in a 2-1 loss and a tough home match tomorrow. They had also deserved all the three points away against Brann in the weekend, but chances didn’t result in goals, and then 0-0. Storflor will probably get the chance on the left wing. After a terrible start on Allsvenskan, Djurgardens has started turning things around. Two matches in a row are won, and with a lot of self-confidence they are visiting Lerkendal… With Rosenborg’s potential Djurgardens will be defeated here tomorrow. 2-0?

Kalmar – AA Gent (Thu 28 Aug 19:00)

Odds have dropped a lot, but I can see value in the bet anyway. Gent won the 1st leg 2-1 in a match that could have gone both ways. Kalmar are topping Allsvnskan with 14-3-3 with 5 points down to 2nd placed Elfsborg. Came back from 0-1 to 4-1 away against GAIS in the weekend, and that’s a very strong result against a team that before the match only had conceded 4 goals in their first 9 home matches. Home they are standing with 8-2-0… Gent on the other hand just started the league home in Belgium. 5-0 home against Mons, and 2-2 away against Anderlecht is accepted, but tomorrow against a fantastic Kalmar team it will be tough for the Belgians.

Kalmar [-0.5] AH @1.96 with Pinnacle … 4 units

St. Patricks Athletic – Elfsborg (Thu 28 Aug 20:45)

After coming back from 0-2 to 2-2 in Borås in the 1st leg, St. Patricks has got a great result in front of tomorrow’s clash. In the weak Irish league they are placed as #2, with 10 points up to Bohemians on the top. They lost 1-0 against Drogheda United, before Sligo Rovers was defeated 1-0. Elfsborg on the other hand is on a great 2nd placed in the much better Swedish league. 12-4-3 shows that the form has been impressing in a long time; all thought they lost 2-0 to Orebro in the weekend. 5 points up to Kalmar FF on the 1st place with one match less. Classes between the two teams, and I see Elfsborg advancing without problems.

Elfsborg [-0.25] AH @1.95 with Pinnacle … 5 units
