New Bolton manager Owen Coyle has suffered a tough start at the helm of the Lancashire club, although it must be said he’s had some tough fixtures to contend with. A couple of games facing Arsenal and an away trip to Liverpool have sandwiched his only win, 1-0 against his ex team Burnley. In that game they were quite impressive and this looks to be a more manageable fixture against injury ravaged Fulham. In midweek, the visitors beat rock bottom Portsmouth 1-0 at home, but it was a scrappy performance and the game could’ve easily ended as a draw.

At least half a dozen regular first teamers are currently missing for Fulham, including the likes of Johnson, Dempsey, Gera and Pantsil. Its hardly an ideal situation for manager Roy Hodgson and they’ve lost 5 of their last 6 games. They are never much of a force away from home and much more comfortable in front of their own fans. My personal feeling is that Bolton have been revitalized by their new manager and will be eager to put in a performance here. The fans are much more behind Coyle than they ever were with Gary Megson, so for once there’s a positive atmosphere around the place. I think Coyle will eye this match as an ideal chance to pick up 3 points, so should rally his troops for success. The price looks pretty decent considering that Fulham have been so poor away and are struggling with injuries.
